My Introduction to This World
It was the 8th of June, at Pinamaneni Nursing Home in Vuyyuru, a small town in Andhra Pradesh, India.
My mother lay surrounded by doctors. Outside the room, my family chanted mantras, waiting for my arrival.
Then came the announcement: “It’s a baby boy.”
Happiness spread through the family. But within moments, the joy was struck by a thunderstorm.
After examining me, the doctors confirmed that I was born without vision.
When this news reached my family, people began imagining my begging future instead of my bright future. Only one person believed otherwise—my mother.
That day, enduring unbearable pain and heavy bleeding, she made a vow:
“I will make my son stand with dignity. I will fight against every obstacle that comes our way—and I will win this battle.”
